As a former mayoral candidate, a dedicated community leader, and a current council candidate, I am frequently asked who I support for Mayor of Edmonton. Initially, I considered endorsing Tim Cartmell, but his absence during a crucial vote led me to reconsider. While I acknowledge his stated reasons for missing the vote, I seek a steadfast ally in City Hall. A leader who grasps the urgency of our city’s challenges and will fiercely advocate for Edmonton, even against the tide.
I have found that leader in Rahim Jaffer, a candidate who embodies resolute commitment to our city’s future.
Rahim Jaffer is more than a candidate; he’s the bold, decisive leader Edmonton needs now. A visionary with the courage to challenge the status quo and the compassion to build a city that serves all. His actionable plan will restore accountability at City Hall, enhance community safety, and revitalize our economic strength, and I stand behind it 100%.
Here’s why Rahim Jaffer deserves your vote this October:
Rahim understands that Edmontonians no longer feel secure. Families avoid downtown walks, seniors hesitate to take the bus, and businesses resort to private security. His "Take Back Our Streets" initiative prioritizes more frontline police, stricter enforcement on repeat offenders, and collaboration with Alberta’s provincial government and Ottawa to secure effective bail reforms.
On the economy, Rahim’s plan focuses on retaining local jobs and fostering growth through innovation zones in energy, technology, and manufacturing. Though he once served as an MP, Rahim has spent recent years outside politics, gaining practical experience as a business builder, family man, and community advocate. His time on the front lines has sharpened his ability to listen to diverse perspectives and deliver solutions that work for Edmonton.
Rahim will enact a hard reset on wasteful spending at City Hall, prioritizing core services like faster snow removal, efficient garbage collection, and pothole repairs that don’t break the bank; taking us back to basics.
I urge you to join me in supporting Rahim Jaffer on October 20, 2025. To learn more about his vision, visit votejaffer.ca.
